Carpet ranges we bring to Doncaster homes
Every visit comes with a van full of real samples, not a brochure. Here's what we'll lay out on your floor.
Our most popular carpet. Hard-wearing, hides footprints and suits living rooms, landings and stairs.
Soft, luxurious and warm underfoot — the go-to for bedrooms and snug lounges.
Tough, textured and great value for hallways, stairs and rentals.
Carpet every room at one fixed price, fitted, with free door plates.
No showroom rent. Better carpet for your money.
Most of the price of a carpet from a retail park goes on the building it's sold in. We don't have one. Our showroom is a van, and it parks outside your house — whether that's a semi in Bessacarr, a terrace in Hexthorpe or a new build out at Rossington.
That means you see each carpet against your own walls, curtains and furniture before you commit, and you pay less for it. It's the way Floor Coverings Local has worked for over 30 years.
- Free, no-obligation home visit
- Accurate measure taken while we're there

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you have a carpet shop in Doncaster I can visit?
No — and that's deliberate. We don't run a high street shop, so we don't pay high street rent. Instead our home showroom comes to you anywhere in the Doncaster area with the samples, and the money we save goes into lower prices.
How much does a home visit cost?
Nothing. The visit, the measure and the written quote are all free, and there's no obligation to buy. If you'd like to think it over, we'll leave the quote with you.
Which carpet is best for a busy family home?
For hallways, stairs and living rooms that see a lot of traffic we usually suggest a twist or loop pile in a polypropylene or wool blend, in a mid-to-dark shade. Polypropylene carpets are bleach cleanable, which is a lifesaver with children and pets. A good underlay matters as much as the carpet — it can extend a carpet's life by up to 50%.
Do I need new underlay?
Almost always, yes. Old underlay compresses and breaks down, and putting a new carpet on it shortens the carpet's life and makes it feel thin underfoot. Our Silver, Gold and Platinum full house deals include new underlay.
Do you offer finance?
Not at the moment. We keep our prices as low as we can instead. We accept all major credit and debit cards, as well as cash.
Can you prepare the floor before fitting?
Yes. If a floor needs levelling we can screed or ply-board it before fitting, so your new carpet or vinyl sits flat and wears evenly. We'll spot this during the home visit and include it in your quote.
